Badlands National Park, South Dakota

We started our morning with a four hour drive, but man was it worth it! The Badlands did not disappoint! Words and picture don’t begin to do justice to the beauty of this place. We spent the day exploring the visitors center, then hiking and climbing around the Badlands. I wish I could drop everyone I know into these pictures so you can experience it for yourself. If you get the chance, GO! The trails are easy and there is ample parking along the way. We were hoping to see lots of wild animals, but only saw prairie dogs and some sort of horned animal from a distance.
After driving the Badlands Loop, which was stunning, we stopped into Wall Drug. This place was full of old photos of the town of Wall and random statues as well as lots of souvenirs. It was an experience in itself.
Finally, we reached our destination for the night and we have a great view from our hotel. Looking forward to tomorrow’s adventure!
