We left LA and headed to Irvine where Vinny spent a bit of time as a child. We drove by his old house and his elementary school.
Next stop was Las Vegas! I have never actually been to Las Vegas so I was excited to see what it was all about. We didn’t stay long but we did get to see the Bellagio Fountains and the pawn store where Pawn Stars was filmed. Vinny was really excited about this stop because it is one of his favorite shows. Unfortunately, they had just closed and we didn’t actually get to go inside.
After leaving Vegas we drove through the Arizona desert which reached 124 degrees! Yes, you read that right! We reached the Hoover Dam close to sunset and we were able to have some awesome views of Lake Mead and the dam. Of course we were chasing sunsets, so we had to get several shots of the beautiful sunset over Lake Mead.

We finished the evening outside of the Grand Canyon and stayed in a cute RV. This was a fun experience for our family and we really enjoyed the set up at the campground.
