Tulsa, Oklahoma
July 25-28, 2024

Now, I am sure you can only imagine what came out of my mouth as soon as we crossed into Oklahoma… “Ohhhhhhklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin’ down the plain…” I won’t continue…for now.
Our trip to Tulsa was interesting because I had a Sweet Adelines Director and Visual Leader Seminar to attend. (In case you don’t know, I sing with the Queen Charlotte Chorus…ask me about details to join!) Vinny and the kids dropped me off with Debbie and went off on their own adventure. They had a blast playing at The Gathering Place (voted best city park 2024), swimming, going to the arcade and the movies.

While they were playing hard, I was working hard to fill my brain with lots of things to take back to the chorus when I return. I had the opportunity to meet and learn from Ben Bram (Pitch Perfect, The Sing Off, Pentatonix and more), and other leaders in the Sweet Adeline community. I toured the headquarters and took pictures of all the dolls. I was especially excited to take a picture of Debbie with her International champion quartet, Speed of Sound’s doll. Being able to see all the history at the headquarters and meet some of the greats in the organization was such an honor. We even had the chance to have some relaxing moments with friends which was great! I can’t wait to share all I learned with the chorus!

On Sunday, before leaving Tulsa we visited Margaritaville Casino and Resort so I could get my picture, and a yummy cheeseburger.

We also drove over to Catoosa to see one more famous Route 66 stop, The Blue Whale. Then off we went to Arkansas!
